Meeting with
middle school and high school teams as they guide the referral
process to ML King Academy or assist school interventions to
maintain students at their home school
-
Assisting the
successful transition of students back to their home schools,
following the successful completion at the Academy. This
involves weekly visits with home school staff and students
-
Individual
and small group counseling
-
Crisis
intervention
-
Student/family
referral to agencies in the community (i.e., health, mental
health, basic needs)
-
Participate
on collaborative agency teams, such as IMPACT and IMPACT PLUS
-
Home visits
to support student success
-
Coordinate
intake with parents for all new students
-
Coordinate a
mentoring program which pairs ML King Academy students with
students at a local elementary school
